It’s no picnic table
Almost surreal, but certainly elegant, the art installation, “It’s no picnic table”, is Michael Beitz’s design for the front external space of Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, in Nebraska. The table which is made of sheets of poplar, may seat 10 people. Its sculptural form is impressive, as wooden sheets look like flow toward and over the railing.
